Data on the synthesis of symmetrical and unsymmetrical meso

substituted porphy
rins, which are building blocks for porphyrin
based polymers of different structure, are ana
lyzed. Methods for the porphyrin ring construction and modification by active functional groups for further immobilization onto a polymer or preparation of porphyrin monomers are considered.
